"The artistic work of master Tiziano Soldavini, carried out on basic material of different types and using original techniques, is considered of a very high quality.
The artist Tiziano Soldavini has created a bodily come spiritual sinthesis which gives life to simple connotations of informal aesthetics, extrapolating his work from the norm, and contributing with extreme formal elegance and chromatic graphic richness he has enriching his intuitive artistic sphere he has also brought about a new aesthetic language which has a strong literary and formal impact, making itself most enjoyable and pleasant"

L'ARTISTA
Tiziano Soldavini was born in Lonate Pozzolo Varese on November 19th. 1957. He is a priest and he is now living in Rome where he is acting priest in the National Institute for Infective Disease "Lazzaro Spallanzani''.
He has loved to paint for a long time as he is convinced that it is an efficient means to communicate and to bring about the confrontation and meeting with other people; he sees it as being a way of expressing glory to the Creator. With the support of experts from the art world he has decided to present his work to a vaster public.

PAINTING FOR ME IS…
To paint, top create, these and other similar verbs are for me no more than a timid ray of art which, like a sunray, makes space in a cloudy sky or it shines limpid without ever losing its beauty.
To paint, making art is a language, not the only one, which likes the sunray it is a gift. One does not paint for oneself but for others, for everybody. to paint is like having a music score in front of you, or it is like playing music from the heart, and to discover at the end of a week a new symphony of colours in which the heart and mind are involved. To paint for me is the knowledge that: "Every genuine inspiration, however, contains some tremor of that "breath" with which the Creator Spirit suffused the work of creation from the very beginning. Overseeing the mysterious laws governing the universe, the divine breath of the Creator Spirit reaches out to human genius and stirs its creative power. He touches it with a kind of inner illumination which brings together the sense of the good and the beautiful, and he awakens energies of mind and heart which enable it to conceive an idea and give it form in a work of art. It is right then to speak, even if only analogically, of "moments of grace", because the human being is able to experience in some way the Absolute who is utterly beyond".
(John Paul's II Letter to Artists)

To paint for me is to create openings equal in dialogue, in respect, and all of this to bring about peace: "I think that dialogue is an opportunity for people coming from different cultures and traditions to get to know each other better, even if the come from extreme ends of the world or even if they live in the same street. Artists have a special role in the fight for peace. Artists do not only speak to people but they speak at the people. Art is a weapon against ignorance and hate. It also represents the human conscience. Art opens new doors to learn, to understand, and to reach peace between people and nations"
(Kofi Annan)

To paint for me is to do something beautiful, something alive, to feel excited on seeing colours and having the possibility to create new pathways for a better world through the force of simple painting.
To paint for me is to donate a ray of art which does not belong to me as everything is a gift. I cannot paint forgetting Vincent van Gogh's famous expression "there is nothing more artistic than to feel love for man"; therefore every painting is a gift for others. After finishing a piece of work, after signing it I like to look at every piece of it just to feel the surprise, the marvel. It is no longer mine; I try to get inside it and to feel new emotions.
The colours, the shapes, the different materials, are all like little pebbles thrown into my heart, into my mind giving life to circumspect circles that multiply emotions and sentiments. The excitement does not stop. A strength which does not come from my hands, from the work, from the canvas, from the threads from all the materials used manages to imprison strength which comes from the very piece of work which, in my opinion, is never finished. This is the moment when my mind, spirit and body tastes the "created beauty'' "the eternal''. It is the most beautiful moment because even if it is not perfect one can experiment the mystery of eternal beauty. To paint for me is to lose oneself and then fined oneself again in the love of god. Infinite beauty also in others, all of this only if one believes that everything is a gift and is grateful for it
